This is the ONLY place you should go to in Cambridge for a shed. We got our first from David and 'The Shed Factory' 25 years ago and was delighted to have shed number 2 installed this week. The sheds are sturdy, made to measure if that's what you need, delivered and installed, and beautifully made. They look great and last forever.

We ordered our shed and it was built just as we wanted it and came on the day and was erected with no problems at all. This is the second garden shed we'ev had from them now. Good and strong, well built sheds are not cheap and you get what you pay for. Theirs are built to last. Just what we wanted.

Our old shed (not provided by the Shed Factory!!) finally gave out with the roof collapsing under its own weight. Cue a panic to get a new shed in place for all our garden and outdoor storage needs. The guys at the Shed Factory were on it straight away - very quick in returning a quotation and quick site visit to measure up and see what might work. Fast forward four weeks (which given all this happened over the Christmas and New Year period was rapid) and we have a new shiny shed and is extremely sturdy and exactly what we were after.

We ordered an 8ft by 6ft pent roof shed which was delivered ahead of schedule and constructed in a very quick and efficient way by David and his staff. They are all very professional, neat and tidy. The shed is good quality and well built. We are very pleased with our purchase. David responds quickly to e-mails and is very knowledgeable and helpful. After a couple of site visits to explain what we needed and being told there was a time frame in which to complete. David and his team produced exactly what we needed. Very good overall service and product. Very business like to deal with, don't be afraid of communicating via email just keep the conversation thread continuous for easy reference. We did everything via email and a couple of phone calls so it's very convenient if you like doing things this way. If you aren't give it a try you'll be surprised.
There are lots of extras the company offer so take the time to look at these.
Be flexible if possible on the delivery date as you could have installation sooner than the arranged date.
Any Covid measures were carried out. Very efficient delivery / installation with noted attention to detail of closing gates when leaving. Good work the Shed factrory.

End result is just what I imagined! Described my desired shed with a few examples from the gallery. Dave came to have a look at the space I wanted to fill and his team checked in when building it to get things right. Really sturdy well built shed that I'm expecting will easily last decades. I first got in touch with the Shed Factory at the end of January 2022 as I required a new Pent shed with custom dimensions and specifications. Communication was always quick, friendly and informative, delivery and installation of my shed was much quicker than I'd anticipated and the build quality looks great. Very easy to talk to, very open about their product. Visiting the yard gave my wife and I the confidence that their sheds were for us - and now that it's installed I can say with absolute confidence we have made the right choice in our pent potting shed. They stuck to social distancing guidelines, and had the shed installed all in a morning - arriving exactly when they said they would. The shed itself, however, is the star of the show. It's solid, well fitting and bears the look of something well-made. I'm looking forward to the next 30 years (at least!) with it.

I recently contacted the Shed factory for a large shed for my garden project. I have to say their level of professionalism was outstanding. Incredibly efficient and considerate. I'm chuffed to bits with my new shed, it's great quality and arrived on the exact date we agreed when I placed the order, despite the pandemic!
David kept me up to date and when they discovered a slight issue with where I wanted my shed they worked really hard to make it work. It was really nice to deal with David and his colleagues in person, I felt valued and was always able to contact them easily.

The shed factory did my shed in about April and I wanted to leave my review for a few months to see how my shed lasted.
Well, six months later and the shed still looks, and is, just great!
You can probably get a shed built to order more cheaply but what's more important, saving every penny or recognising and paying for proper work? As to the work, it was all done with what seemed like military timing and organisation.
No, nonsense, no hidden charges and no faffing about.

We are very happy with our 11 x 7 shed that Dave designed for a concrete base we already had. Because they had prepared a lot in the workshop the shed was built in a few hours. Dave and his team were punctual and worked with social distancing and covid secure measures in place.
The shed looks good at the bottom of our garden and it has useful shelves so it is great for storage. It looks like it will last a long time. I would definitely recommend the shed factory.

The Shed Factory delivered our shed on time and put it up satisfactorily. We had a problem with the shelf, but, importantly a member of the team visited us very promptly and resolved the issue. What was really pleasing is the work was carried out without any qualms and to a high quality.

The Shed Factory provided me with a very high quality replacement shed/workshop at a competitive price. The size requirement of 7.5ft by 9ft is not one of the standard sizes but this was not a problem as their sheds are bespoke. The delivery time was good at the originally quoted 2-3 months compared to other suppliers and in the event it was earlier at just under 6 weeks. They dismantled and removed the old shed, erected the new one and were gone in just under 3h, all the while respecting the Covid requirements in place at the time. The only slight demerit was with the bench I asked to be supplied and this was really down to me not asking specifics as to its construction. The work bench was constructed from 5 separate pieces of 18mm plywood mounted on a 46mm square timber framework. It is robust enough but not terribly elegant (a bit patchwork) and is merely abutted to the shiplap vertical support timbers leaving a 46mm gap at the back and sides down which things can easily fall. This has necessitated the install of an up-stand all around the back. Apart for this the shed was perfect for my requirements and I am very satisfied with both the service and the product, to be recommended.

I recently moved into my new home and Dave and the team replaced an extremely old rotting shed already present in my garden with a perfect new one.
Due to the current Covid circumstances all the communication and designing was done over the phone and by emails. Dave was extremely helpful using his expertise to answer my many questions.
The shed was ready 2 days earlier than provisionally planned. Dave and the team arrived on time and quickly dismantled my old shed and lay the needed paving for the new shed to sit on. The new shed was erected so quickly and they had the entire job complete in a single morning. All members of the team followed social distancing guidelines even post 'freedom day'.
I cannot recommend the Shed Factory enough and absolutely love my new shed! Thank you so much Dave and team!

I purchased an 8x5 custom made shiplap, pent shed from The Shed Factory in May 2020. I spoke to David to discuss my requirements and took delivery just over a week later when David came over to build it. I am very pleased with the shed, it is very well made and has been constructed to a high standard and it looks like it will last me a long time. David assembled it himself in about an hour at my property, all in all a very good service. I first met David in mid-May at The Shed Factory which I had identified from a comprehensive search on the web. During our meeting we discussed the design of shed I wanted (8' x 7'6") and my ideal timescale for delivery. I wanted a barn style roof with a door high enough to spare my head and some specific decoration over the door. We had lived in the mid-west of the US and Dutch barns were a continuing theme throughout the countryside. The duly completed shed arrived on the agreed day, although 3 minutes early, which we coped with. Our existing tired shed was duly taken away and the new shed erected with great efficiency. The shed was exactly to our specification and to a very high quality indeed I started to imagine it might be my man cave, but my wife had other ideas. I cannot fault the shed, it is made from sound materials and constructed with great care. The added decoration is just what we wanted and finished off what was a first-class job. In a tight space in our small terrace house back garden, they dismantled and removed the very dilapidated, very rotten old shed, levelled the base, installed a handsome made-to-measure replacement, cleaned and tidied up, all within 3 hours. Good helpful and on-time communication throughout the whole process. I particularly liked the itemised pricing scheme, allowing a range of bespoke specifications at a clear up-front cost estimate. The process and end product were well-worth the money. I strongly recommend the Shed Factory and would use again myself.

I spent hours online looking for a shed, and gave up because I didn't trust the pictures; didn't like the hidden extras that popped up at checkout, and generally didn't have confidence in the vendors or the products. I also looked at a bunch of sheds in local garden centres - I saw some good sheds and a whole lot of bad sheds, and all of them were way over our price threshold. Then we went to see the Shed Factory, who provided quick, straightforward advice and a great price, for quality that we could see in the various display sheds in their yard. We originally wanted a custom-built shed (a quick and painless discussion), but in the end we were so impressed by one of their display models, we bought that instead. Installation was very quick, but also very careful, and we're delighted. I recommend this company without hesitation.

Excellent garden shed Ordered a medium-sized garden shed with The Shed Factory Cambridge. David provided excellent service, and gave great suggestions on how to lay out the shed given the tight awkward corner of the garden that it needed to go in to. All correspondence was very detailed, shed arrived in good time, and installation was super-fast (less than 1hr!) Overall, an excellent product that we are very happy with, with terrific service. Would highly recommend.

Quality Shed I discovered Shed Factory by accident but I'm glad I found them. The shed is good quality, solid wood on a smart raised base - both built and installed by the Shed Factory in half a day. The popularity of the company lead to a long wait time but it's better to wait for a quality product.

Highest quality customer service Absolutely excellent service throughout. The advice before purchase was straightforward and honest with no high pressure tactics - just a discussion of our needs, prelimary designs for two replacement sheds and an estimate of costs. We were also assured that our old sheds could be removed, new bases constructed and the new sheds installed within two days. My wife and I left to think about what we should do and I think David was slightly surprised when we returned within five minutes of leaving to say that we wanted to go ahead. He came to the house the next day for a site visit and soon after sent a quote for the work which we were very happy to accept. The sheds have just been installed, all the work was carried out in a single day, and we are are delighted with the quality of the sheds and the accompanying site works.

Small garden storage shed. Very good service, and good quality product for a reasonable price. The shed was needed by my parents after moving to a bungalow in Cambridge and it was delivered and erected in the garden very efficiently, having access only through the house. It was required urgently for storage and was delivered and erected within a few days of placing the order. Can definitely recommend this company, for quality of product, service and communication.

Large bespoke shed Everyone who has seen our new 6x5 meter Shed has been impressed by the build quality. The Shed Company constructed a new base as well as the shed, and the location caused a few logistical problems, but David and his team delivered a quality product on time and we are all very pleased with the finished product.

Quality shed Very pleased with the results of our shed. David helped us design it to our exact specification so that the garden path led exactly to the door on the side we wanted. Nice wood, well built. It was a bit of a nightmare getting the roof down our side passage, but David had warned us to make sure it would fit. We hadn't realised the roof would be a bit bigger than the width of the walls, though it does figure. It took a bit of work, but we got it through and all worked happily after that. Top quality, good price, good service. Highly recommended.

Hassle-free shed triumph Dave and his oppo arrived promptly and punctually, when they said they would, and cleared the ground for the 3m X 2.5m shed we'd designed together. The price went up a bit because the site was on a slight slope and had to be levelled first. But this was fair enough, we thought. They laid the base, took away the old shed then returned next day to erect the new one. They did this quickly and efficiently and - Hallelujah! - tidied up. A hassle-free operation we'd highly recommend.

It is now over 5 months since my 5m x 4m shed was completed and I'm so glad I choose the Shed Factory as most other jobs in recent years left me unsatisfied with suppliers or contractors. Dave Hills made the whole job painless, he overcame issues with access to my garden, completed the build on time & to budget, his staff were quick, quiet & cleaned up behind themselves. But most of all my bespoke requirements were understood and fulfilled exactly with a really good quality finish. They really are an experienced bunch who has the ability & standards to produce a quality building.

We would like to thank you for a job well done. The new shed was made to measure for a rather awkwardly shaped area and was placed perfectly within it with efficiency and cheerful goodwill! It is sturdy and well made and looks good in its little corner.
We were also impressed with the pre-planning/discussion work and the fact that it was completed by the date given.
