When Off The Shelf Just Won't Work

Custom 3 Sided Shed Roof
Our customer wanted to maximise the space between her house and the boundary wall. The difficulty they had was it was various widths and angles which meant they had to have a custom made bespoke shed as they didn’t want to lose any space from a standard rectangle building.  They also wanted it to blend in with the brick work and paving as this was a very small garden where the patio is in front of the shed.

We measured up fully prior to design and construction to be certain it fitted perfectly in the space and decided that by omitting the side that faced the house we could maximise the overall space available.

The construction is:
  • Our standard thickness ship-lap cladding (ex19mm x 125mm finished size 15mm)
  • Standard ex50mm x 50mm frame-work (finished size 46mm x 46mm)
  • A breathable lining paper in-between the frame-work and cladding
  • TGV flooring and roofing
  • Single layer of torch on felt which is stuck down with a gas gun
  • Double doors with a lock-key-handle off-set to one side to allow room for the water-butt which was supplied by the customer
  • Guttering along the length of the wall to control the water run-off
  • The shed we treated in a grey Cuprinol garden shades which was supplied by the customer.
